Fitness - It should be fun

In June 1992, the survey of National Fitness was published by the British Health Education Authority. The survey was conducted to assist the Government of the United Kingdom in the development of policies and objectives for increasing physical activity and population and increase individual awareness of the benefits of "active life" . The investigation confirmed that the British are getting fatter , lazier and unhealthy :

1) 48% of men and 40% of overweight women

2) Nearly a third of men and two thirds of women find it difficult to walk in 3kmph a gentle slope from 1 to 20 , without suffering dyspnea and fatigue

3) For any woman aged between 55 and 64 years old, walking on level ground for more than a few minutes is exhausted

4) Three of the four people are at risk of dying prematurely from circulatory diseases related to lack of exercise

5) Some men aged 70 are in better shape than their 17 year old little girls

Britons spend more time in the exercise of the chair ( Other surveys show that people spend up to 25 hours per week watching television). Although 80 % of Britons expressed a strong belief in the value of exercise , only a minority do anything about it.
" Modern life has taken a lot of energy in our lives and we need to find ways to put it back, " said Dr. Jacky Salas Director of Public Health of the Health Education Authority.
And one of the key messages from the survey is that people take walks more often and with more energy. "

For many of us , exercise is a bit like that . No matter how much you exercise seems to never make any progress . It is the yo- yo syndrome Fitness : You yo -yo up and down between a drive and another trying to find one that works for you and you can continue.

Unfortunately, the statistics speak for themselves; 25 percent of people who begin fitness programs today abandon in a week ; Fitness - It should be fun 60 percent of those who start the program execution will retire today if it burns within three months . However, many of these same people will be back in a few months and will try to exercise bikes, aerobics, swimming , rowing, jumping, etc. . As the yo- yo diet, then will yo-yo back and forth from one activity to another , and each time an error occurs.
